 A chain store purchased plant. I thought why not use it as an ornamental in the garden as a shade tree with the added bonus of some bush Tucker in the year’s to come. If you’re going to plant trees you might as well plant food trees as a permaculture project in the garden so in a few years time you’ll have a bit of healthy food.

If "tucker bush" is not the most Australian plant name next to "coolibah" then I don't know what is.

So true 🤣just name it bush tucker and it’s sold. There are a lot of native Australian plants used by indigenous peoples. But like all bush food it’s so seasonal and scattered about the bush it’s feast or famine. I just wanted a shade tree for the new garden!
