Another one of peroffskyaana had huge batch of seeds on it. 23 years old this one such a beautiful colour in the garden when you first see it. I will collect the rest of the seeds in about another week when they fall off. A great cycad to grow with demand for it on the local market with landcare groups and gardeners wanting to regenerate their land with native species. I have another one about to burst open with seeds so a few more to collect and propagate and grow on.

thanks for sharing.  its so cool to see that these are naturally pollinated and you are making sure they come to fruition.  are these in their natural habitats?  

it looks like they are in an sheltered forest environment.

I love them an Australian native plant. They are native to my area about 35 minutes drive away. Local gardens are full of them used by councils in parks and gardens even a street tree. These ones are in my garden with about 40 in my garden of mature size. There a good selling cycas tough as nails dry heat wet fire whatever you can throw at them.

Yes they are naturally pollinated by a weevil. I have posted before about the weevil pollinater.
