A fantastic Australian plant so slow growing about 1cm a year once it makes a trunk. These tall ones would have to be 150 plus years old. Tolerating very dry conditions along with very poor quality soil they do need good drainage though The native bees absolutely love the flowers, they are easy to germinate and grow just slow growin,  slower than any palm around that’s for sure. A specimen of large proportions sells for good dollars.
