My Musa Basjoo, can I cut these browning leaves off or leave them? These leaves would be green and healthy but there were spider mites on the plant and me being the idiot I am used dishwash solution on a FULL SUN HOT DAY and the leaves got fried. I am hesitant to cut them because when you cut the leaves the plant will sometimes peel it’s trunk back and the thinner the trunk then the more likely it will fall over in wind. We get a lot of wind, this is what I am afraid of. The plant would look better and much healthier withlit these, though. Any thoughts? Thanks! 😊 Also any tips to make it grow faster? I fertilized last week with blood feed because that is what they said to do on youtube, that they need nitrogen. Also a bonus image I love seeing the little babies come up.

I would cut it off when it turns completely brown. The plant would use up the remaining nutrients to grow new leaves.

I just went out and discovered 2 more suckers so now I have 6 growing. They all are just small sprouts besides that large sword one, I might remove a few so the plant focuses on maybe 3 suckers and the mother plant
