A while ago I've sowed a few seeds of a Strelitzia reginae "Mandela's Gold" and recently one of the seeds popped up. I can't remember exactly how my previous strelizia's looked like but the white color is new for me. Is this normal?

No, it is not normal, without photosynthesis it will die

It's a bit strange, almost looks like it only grew in total darkness.

Ive grown monstera seeds from seeds and I can say that at least 20% came out albino and did not survive. Im guessing this is what happened with your seedling!
