Anybody know where to get one of these in like a 5g?

Anybody have any advice to offer for culture vs. Ceiba speciosa?

Treat the same as speciosa; I've never noticed a difference in culture between the two.  Not sure who has them, but it is hard to find a pure insignis-hope you're successful.

I have a bunch I grew from seed a few years back. I've never seen them for sale anywhere in 5 gals. Then again, I've never seen speciosa in a 5gal either....

I ordered a small one from one of the online markets that sell everything under the sun/moon. All the leaves dropped off but new ones quickly came out.  I moved it outdoors this spring but plan to keep it potted for a few more years. Not sure how it'll handle the summer/winter in my yard. There are a few mature, flowering Ceiba speciosa here in Sacramento.

Both are grown in Tucson w/ out issue, even when exposed to a few nights in the lower 20s / high teens  ..and the occasional dusting to 2" of snow once or twice every few winters down there.
