Does anyone have a fruiting JubaeaXButia, ButiaXJubaea or other Jubaea hybrid creations? I would like to experiment with the hardiness of the F2 or even F3 offspring.

So, is anyone in the US willing to send some seed my way? I'll pay shipping.

I am also interested in Butia X Parajubaea and Jubaea X Parajubaea F2 and F3 seeds if they are viable.

Let me know if you get any response, I posted looking for Butia hybrids and didn’t get a single response about them.

Probably have to wait until Patrix drops next seasons list… 🤔

Good luck

Most hybridizers don't sell their seed;  they grow them out and sell the plants as there tends to be more profit in that avenue.

With that, I do have two year old mules for sale. ..

I know.

About once a week I get ready to order, but then I remember that my warmest winter in the last five years was around 10F to 11F.

I'm sure that I will be giving in soon. BTW, a while back you mentioned that you might have a source for Cycas taitungensis seeds?

Unfortunately that source fell through, did a swap with a guy in Georgia, he got several plants from me and I got ghosted....no seeds.  🤬

Still looking, reasonably priced seeds are welcome.

There was a guy named Neil Miner from California posting in the Facebook groups that he has seed available Butia x Jubaea

Did you get any from Charlene?  I just noticed that she's already sold them all but maybe she'll be able to get more at some point.  You've got to be quick with her offerings!

Do you remember the price and does he have a way to be contacted outside of facebook?  A facebook account is not for me.

They were 50 cents a seed, minimum order $20 plus shipping.  I can ask if he has other means of communication...

I hope so, I have had good luck with pure Jubaea, but bad luck with F1 hybrids.

I will probably start a knowledge gathering thread soon.
