I am sorry if this tree has already been discussed. When I search "neem" I get so many results because of how often we mention neem oil.

So, does anyone grow a neem tree in their garden? How hardy is it?

I've read that it drops its leaves below 5C.

Also, how fast does it grow?

It can be semi deciduous expect medium growth given good soil and water

Neem is a declared weed in many places. Here it's illegal to buy, sell or transport neem plants or seeds. I get them on my place sometimes, from seed dropped by birds. But I guess the authorities aren't going to prosecute the birds.

They would prosecute the birds if they could another way to collect revenue 🤣
