Hello i am trying to find a source for magnolia grandiflora '24 below' as the other cultivars probally wouldnt even survice or withstand -28 * C or -31 * C

Need a cultivar of southern magnolia that will withstand -29 / -22f

and that can be protected in zone 4b calgary

 

i reaaly like southern magnolia it has glossy leaves and shien to it it has fuzz on the undersides and has a waxy texture on the top and has a piner smell to the leaves  and its evergreen and no other magnolia looks like it

im am adament about it

i found some branches at a nursery in christmass  time but i tried to root one they never rooted even with hormones the nurseries refuse to bring the actual plant from bc and if you ask a nursery in bc to ship them to you they will refuse even with money

i dont know whats the problem with them bringing them in its a native species too to north amercia

 

please tell me where to find it even if i go to texas with my parents

please could you help me with this
