I have several Musa haekkinenii seeds that have been soaking for a few days. Most sources I read say banana seeds should be scarified before placing in media to germinate. However, I have come across a couple sources saying scarifying is not necessary. If scarifying is necessary, what is the best technique the small but extremely tough seeds? They are around a half centimeter long and quarter centimeter wide.

Thoughts and experiences on germinating HARD banana seed, please.

Soak them for a week, wash in light bleach solution and plant as any other seed. If they are fresh they will sprout fast and easy,, if not, it's hardly you can do anything
