I acquired a few rhizomes of this shampoo ginger in N. Florida. Should I plant it in a pot then the yard or straight into yard?

Does it do best in full or partial shade?

Your results may vary but growing various gingers here in swfl I've learned to just plant them straight in the ground. Pots come with a higher risk of rotting the rhizomes when they are dormant. Gingers in general also love sun, they tolerate shade but grow much slower. Plant in an area with fairly fertile soil or under some good mulch, in partial sun. May not see anything for a while, until late April or May.
