If anyone in central Florida would like some free BROMELIAD PINGUIN , just message me.  You can stop buy and dig them up yourself.  Some of the photos appear here:

....... TYPO:  "stop BY", not "stop BUY".   Pardon my speed typing.  Please feel free to stop by any time in Winter Haven, Florida if you are interested in acquiring about a dozen BROMELIAND PINGUIN for FREE.

i like the fruit.  it is very fibrous and there is barely any flesh,  but tastes like...pineapple.

Tried a few off the plants i'd mentioned in FL.. Not bad,  but quite acidic, ..in that case anyway..  Could see why most suggest limiting how much of it you might consume at any given time.

we call those "aguamas". you roast them a little bit, like a marshmallow, and voila, no more irritating acids.
