A bump to remind everyone our picnic is this coming Saturday from 9 - ? at Ruth Sallenbach's home.  Dale Holton will be conducting a garden tour at 10.  Lunch is at 12 with our auction starting around 1.  Please bring a covered dish (Ruth asked that no one bring doughnuts this year!) and a plant or plants.  They don't have to be palms.  They could even be palm or garden related articles.  We have had many unique items for our auctions.

Hope to see some of the south Florida and central Florida folks there.

And, Ray, I will make it a point to meet you.

I just got back home from the picnic and the auction was still going on, 3 hours+.

Great palms Satakenti liukiuensis, Copernicia rigida, Chamaedorea, Hyophrbe, etc...anthuriums, alococias, orchids, bromeliads and much more. Not to mention the food.......

A good crowd, with a lot of central and south fl. members and the rain came thisclose but never a drop!

I forgot my camera but there were others there clicking away and hopefully they'll post some pic's.

Ruth's garden has recovered from the hurricanes and is incredible.

Gratefully, the best of both worlds!

We had a great time.  I was hoarse from doing the auction!  Not sure how I end up doing the auction!  Anyway the club made a good bit of money from all the wonderful plants folks brought in.  The food was great and the weather was beautiful - not too hot and no rain.  It was good to see all the folks from south and central Florida as well as our local folks.

Rick,  thanks for posting all the pictures.  I appreciate you doing that.

Ray, maybe next time.
