Ok, I hear you all laughing :floor:

I thought they were totally gone (as in zero chance of getting one), but recently learned there are still some large-ish ones for sale in Florida, which made me think... maybe?

Does anyone in CA (or drivable from CA) have one of these monsters tucked away in your backyard waiting for a buyer? Or (even less likely) someone in another state with one at a shippable size? I'm assuming the only ones left - if there are any - would be big, but I would be willing to pay a pretty high price for one. Anyone know of a lead?

* I have ONE spot in my yard that's reserved for a monster palm (currently occupied by lawn, but the grass is being removed to make more room for cools stuff).  My current plan is to put a Bizzie there... but a Tahina would of course be the ultimate monster palm. I'd be willing to wait if needed, but obviously not for decades.

Probably a BIG "nope" on this one, but no harm in asking!

If you don't obtain one, perhaps you might consider a Sabal causiarum or S.  Riverside.  These can be enormous.  :)

It's the fact that Tahina can take on some white (or bluish white) that makes is extra cool in my book (in addition to the huge leaves of course).

I'll just do a Bizzie if no-go... just curious if Tahina is a possible alternative (or likely to be in the next few years). But no biggie if not... I like Bizzies too :D

Dream palm...
