looks like the ultra highly variegated form of agave desmettiana joe hoak or angustifolia.  fyi .. they are both very slow and weak plants because lack of chlorophyll production.

The concensus amongst those with whom I have spoken is, as you sugget; yet another A. vivipera that I wont be able to get rid of...
