Figured I’d post this here for the enjoyment of desert folks.  Particularly thought @Silas_Sancona would appreciate.

This is a massive Olneya tesota growing out front of the Wickenburg Southern Baptist Church.  Probably 2.5-3ft diameter at breast height and 30’ tall.

That's a big specimen for sure.. Interesting how many of the large ones here, or ones i've seen in the desert south of here lack much - if any- of the " shaggy "  textured bark like this one has.

Almost like screwbean bark. I wasn’t even totally sure of the ID at first because of it.
