South Padre Island TX. Here is another Coconut. Unfortunately google maps dose not have an updated picture for the inner streets, this is the closest you can get. If you look closely you can see some burnt frons sticking up, perhaps its a little good news because the it means the crown is not rotten.

Unfortunately, probably none. We have 3 massive ones (12-15' of a trunk alone), and I have been monitoring them closely since the freeze. I did the copper treatment / wrapped em / etc. They are not producing any spears, and are white and mushy inside the crown - and all the brown spears pulled out easy. I'm already making plans to replace them

oh yeah if it's mushy in there it's dead.

From Houston.  I thought I would add to this string. Biggest happiness came when my mango tree survived the texas freeze of 2020.  A few other tropicals did too.  A little protection goes a long way!

My data from the 2021 Texas Freeze Event attached.  I put it in the same format as the "Cold Hardiness Observation Master Data" spreadsheet created by @kinzyjr for ease of consolidation.  I only left the "Event ID" and "Source" fields blank.  All observations collected from palms that were growing on my property in Bexar County at the time of the freeze event.

So did all the palms in dfw die? Even the sabals? I went to UNT and I remember 10 years ago there were big palms around.  Even some big Mexican fan palms

No Palms survived up there except sabals, even then you don't see them doing that great. (there probably is protected washies though)

How many palms are left in the Austin area?  I know that area had a long cold spell.  It sounded like there were many palms that had to be cut.  It can get quite cold in that part of Texas.

Not a ton of palms left here in austin. A lot of the washies died except for a few large ones near downtown where it was a bit warmer because of urban heating and the river. The filiferas did ok but a lot died in the lago vista/ Lakeway area. Before the freeze, we had some zone pushers who had some really impressive CIDPs but most of those died. But luckily, most of the sabal palmettos were ok and I didn't see any windmill palms die.

I know there was drought prior to that cold event.  I'm sure that contributed to the losses quite a bit.  I'm sure a lot of people have replanted already.  That area is quite ideal for Mediterranean Fan Palms/European Fan Palms as well.  I'm guessing those fared ok.
