I got these 3 cacti as a present.  Could you please identify them? Are they cold hardy in 9a?DSC_0178.thumb.JPG.75deca0593b00389082a573c805945e2.JPGDSC_0177.thumb.JPG.a9638beb547298bbebfc3aaad8cb1293.JPGDSC_0176.thumb.JPG.6059d89c19caa9d0d34f51716d5ca18a.JPG

#1: Not 100% certain but thinking Mammillaria haageana.. There are a few other sp. that look similar though. Hardy to -4c. Might tolerate a little lower if kept dry thru the winter.

#3: Espostoa lanata. Hardy to -12c or lower if kept dry in winter..

Not sure on #2.. Looks like a few different things in different Genera. Will be easier to narrow down the list of possibilities when it flowers. Regardless, would treat like the others.  Would also re pot all 3 into a soil mix that contains little or no organics ( peat / compost, etc ) Make the mix yourself, don't use the " cactus soil / mix " sold at the big box stores..

Thank you very much.  I will repot them in better suited soil very soon although transplanting cacti isn't exactly my favorite activity:bummed:

The Mam and the Espo should be pretty easy to handle ( short spines that normally won't break off too easily  ) wrapping w/ a thick towel, or something similar when removing from their pot. Espo may be 3 separate plants anyway which i'm sure you'd probably want to keep together.. Other looks small enough that it shouldn't be much trouble either..  "Fun"  is re potting something like a heavy, long spined Trichocereus that has grown to 3 gal size specimen, in a 1 gal pot, lol..
