Not entirely sure how i feel seeing these penned in a bit but at least it isn't Privet :evil::rant:. As much as i like Allspice, like the scent of these, and the Lemon-scented variety of Bay Rum a lot also.. All 3 Pimenta sp.  are pretty easy in containers if you can't grow 'em in the ground.. and the scent of the leaves will carry on warm/humid evenings. Interestingly, the lemon- scented variety is supposedly a few degrees hardier to cold than the standard form of P. racemosa. Do keep in mind, unlike Allspice, don't think the leaves of Bay Rum/ Lemon Bay Rum can be consumed / utilized as a spice. Still,  leaves make a great smelling air freshener.. Still have some i'd pinched off a specimen in a nursery. After 9 years, the scent is still detectable, though obviously not as strong.
