Storing macrozamia seeds

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

i need some advice for storing Macrozamia seeds that i just received.

they look fine but they are a bit light and some float (i tryed Macrozamia elegans pictured below), i know its possible to rehydrate them by soaking them in water for 24 hours and then drying them off.

but there is some fungicide powder on them which will be washed off and i don't have any that myself, and i don't want them to get moldy or die cause they were quite expensive.

i need to store them for 4 months until i can sow them in the spring.  im unsure of what to do.

Please help.

let them dry out in the house for 3 days straight after you take them out of the water.  Then store in a plastic bag inside the house.  No fungicide needed as long as they are properly dried.
