Maybe contact someone at SFA (Stephen F. Austin State University) Botanical Garden / Mast Arboretum. They apparently have a very large specimen in their collection. Dave Creech did a write up on it back on Jan. 12, 2017. Neat Tree.

There is a very large specimen tree here too - very attractive tree.  I'm not sure what time of year to look for seed but I'll collect some if I can find any.

I'm pretty sure Caldwell's Nursery down here has them. She has a number of Cinnamomum sp. I bought a Cinnamomum burmannii which had sat out in a pot in the open through the last freeze and looked like it was undamaged.

Hey Joe--

I just did a quick check and I see Williamson Tree Farm in Plantersville (about 3 hrs south of you) has eight available, in 30G containers, at 7 feet. Availability is listed as current as of today and you can find it on plantant.

Thanks everyone.  Steve id love to get some seed. Ill give Williamson a call monday.  Its been years since I've been by there. 

I didnt think of calling caldwells but they a little of almost everything.
