These are some of my little 25 cent salvaged Petco half dead plants I tossed into my greenhouse stream a few years ago. I think they are D. reflex or some such. Not the marginata type. I had one get about 7 feet tall, cut it and rooted it into my greenhouse pond with my Lasia spinosa. Some of these are green, some different variegates. They make it a little more jungle like.

what you have is Dracaena sanderiana. It is commonly sold as "Lucky Bamboo", sometimes braided,spiraled etc.

El Oasis - beach garden, distinct wet/dry season ,year round 20-38c

Las Heliconias - jungle garden ,800m elevation,150+ inches rainfall, year round 15-28c

Could be. Whatever it is it can be an aquatic. It grows in the stream with Peace lily, Anubias, arrowhead and other water plants
