Wow, that is seriously large fruit. I would hate to be standing under that thing if it fell off the tree.

They started selling those at the grocery store by my house. Haven't tried one yet.

Just cut up this puppy for the seeds. THAT WAS TOUGH, and SLOW GOING!

I was shocked how many seeds I got out of it, though! Anyone care to guess how many?

Let's play a game.

Today and tomorrow, take your guesses. Whoever guesses the closest wins 5 seeds shipped to your door (within the USA) If you want them, of course!

Jackfruit can have as little as 100 seeds and up to 500 seeds depending on the size of the fruit. If you can give me the number of fruit pods inside I could tell you how many seeds you have. LOL!

LOL good one palm crazy! :)

(For those of you who don't get the joke, each seed is encased in a "pod" like structure.) Har har. :)

They reminded me like something out of an alien movie - like those "sacs" that hang down from the ceiling with a fetus inside. That's what I was thinking of the whole time! :)

Nobody came even close. It had 237 seeds!

But, regardless, Alex, congrats! If you want to PM me your address (assuming you want them) I'll send you some seeds.

Got it - they'll go out tomorrow. Enjoy!

(I planted them a few days ago, so they will be a bit dirty.)

Just packed up seven seeds for you. (wanted to round it off to 230, lol.) Let me know how they do for you. They should germinate very quickly.

Alex,

Mine are sprouting after just about exactly one week! I knew they were fast (and have grown them before, but this is a record! (I think because they couldn't have been more fresh, literally. Are yours coming up?

Alex,

I'm curious why you would say that. I shipped them on July 5, and tracking shows they were delivered, 2 days later, on July 7.

Tracking number: 9500113168568186208200

Just plant them in moist soil near the surface and they will start sprouting shortly thereafter.

Huh. Interesting. They took forever to arrive. I think they must've placed it in the incorrect box. Thank you again.

Here's hoping!
