Your photos make Brisbane gardening look like some kind of tropical paradise.  Both the ti plant and Crotons are just a bit too cold sensitive to grow well outdoors here in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I can only use them as summer annuals, and usually must wait until mid June/early summer before the night time temps are finally warm enough to suit them.  Although the Cordyline will live over the winter outdoors, the snails will devour them, and they are very slow to get going again.

So..., thanks for the bit of plant porn from south of the equator, and I will appreciate the vivid colors and tropicality from afar, (Or should I break down and go out and buy some more to treat as annuals one more summer?)

crotons are much under used here in socal. I have several planted outdoors that have just gone through their 3rd winter. There is usually some leaf loss but mostly ok.

Wal,that last one,the Cordyline, is fabulous,really vivid. What species is that,i'm sure my missus wouldn't mind that one ;)

I have a few and about 20 on there way from FL. How much water do you give them. I have them getting a lot of water and shaed. Not sure they like it.
