I installed a Macadamia tree on Monday, August 14th of 2016, in the edible section of the garden. I don't anticipate any future problems, just the best nut in the world, in maybe 3 years...

    Neat - but aren't you concerned about the four trees being so close to one another?

    Andrew, spacings of Macadamia's here in Far Nth NSW on plantations is 4 mtrs from ea other and 8 mtrs between rows.       Pete

    The cages are peppers of various sorts. They will never be bigger than the cages they are in, because the iguanas will trim them back. Only one Macadamia was planted, guys. I don't see it getting in the way of the peppers and if it does, that's a great thing--peppers gone!

    Wow - those are some sturdy looking peppers! They are….. woody ? I'm used to the little foot-high green plants that die in the fall!

    I like your attitude.... let them cohabit as long as possible, but when the time comes you know what takes precedence, and so do they! :evil:    Lots of work getting those things open and the nuts out, but they sure do taste good!
