I think I saw little tiny white flowers at the top, in the canopy. Not sure what kind of tree this is--if anyone can help me out with this one, I would be much appreciative. Thanks-have a great day!

Calycophyllum spruceanum. Know in Brazil by Pau Mulato. Very ornamental, decorative and has smooth trunk.

Andrew, is "pealy bark" a scientific term?

Jerry, totally not a scientific term! What might be the term for such a quickly regenerating bark? I wish I were more scientific...
