This tree is in our native hammock. I was working in there the other day and caught the scent of something... after about 5 minutes of searching I found this. The tree smells so nice, I cut a couple pieces off to put in the office. Unfortunately, I found no tags! :( Does anyone know what it might be? Thanks very much for your time, in advance!

This tree was also missing a label, but it was not fragrant and is not so attractive... the trunk looks distinctive though... maybe? Thanks again.

Pics of the trunk are good, but the I can't completely make out the leaves.  Looks like Myrcianthes fragrans to me

Could very well be Ardisia escallonioides or Marlberry.  They smell wonderful when in bloom

Looks like Osmanthus fragrans. As for the other hard to tell with a close up of the leaves.

Concur with kwtimo on first one being Ardisia escallonioides.

SoCal and SoFla; zone varies by location.
