Hi David, that's what someone had told me, I don't remember who, anyhow, they came from seeds a bird had droped in the garden, originally, Ed

Can you actually eat the skin? How does it taste with the skin. I've never had a papaya which the skin can be eaten. I've grown papayas for years and have several varieties.

Hi Andy, yes, you eat the skin, it is thin, without much taste, not bitter, blends right in wit the taste of the fruit, the small ones you just grab of the tree, and eat like a tomato, the small ones often seedless, seeds are available on e-bay, wish I could offer them free to everyone, Ed

It looks like a 'solo' variety of papaya. I know some of the my 'Solo Type' varieties you can eat down to the skin.

Are the fruits very sweet? My papayas are super sweet, tasting like candy. There's definitely nothing better than a home-grown papaya.

Thanks for the information.
