I saw a photo of this plant on the internet and fell in love with it. Osmoxylon lineare has palmate leaves and at close glance looks like a clustering palm. The variegated form resembles a variegated Rhapis. The ends of the branches put out lacy flowers followed by small round black fruit. Supposedly, this is a rare plant and hard to come by. I got this 3g from a local nursery specializing in tropical plants. But last Sat. I saw a couple with a vendor at a Cape Coral plant sale. Anyone here grow this plant?

I got this plant about a year ago at a plant sale and at that time it was about the same size as yours. So far its grown really well in a part sun area of my yard more than doubling in width but still about the same height. Only problem I have encountered is that unless its kept moist, it tends to wilt a bit on really hot sunny days. When I've noticed that I give it some extra water and it perks right up.

I am growing it. Over here in the Philippines it is not rare at all and is used everywhere for landscaping. It's a very nice plant specially when it gets all thick and bushy
