These vines in Africa can get incredible thick and look almost like a strangling form of a baobab tree. I haven't found any good photos of them online, but was wondering if anyone has heard of this plant or knew the scientific name? And better yet, if any of them are in cultivation? Here is an okay photo of one, although they can look much more disproportionate.

Wow those are impressive seed pods! I don't think they were Entada though. I managed to collect one seed pod, and its shape sort of reminded me of a Jalapeno pepper. Inside it had papery-like seeds, although I'm not sure if they were viable. I wish I knew more about plants while I was there, but I don't think it was a legume. Thank you for all of the help! If I go back there within the next two years, I'll try and bring some better seeds back. They were definitely unique. Here is another picture of one I found online : otjitongwe-python-vine-inf.jpg
