You can buy ornamental peppers from Homed Epot, which grow upright and which are, often, hot. Some are very hot. Others are sweet.

Love the hot peppers. Stimulates endocrine system and the secretion of catecholamines including epinephrine and norepinephrine and can boost metabolism. Here are a few of my favorite sources for seeds.

Pepper Joes - very informative website, recipes, lore etc.

Redwood City Seed Co. (ecoseeds.com) - owner Craig has been hunting for odd varieties in India, Latin America for some years now. Chocolate, Mustard, and Peach Habañeros and many more.

Seed Savers Exchange - one of the coolest organizations saving heirloom varieties of food seeds. The regular open-sale retail offerings on the website are impressive and full membership opens access to 12,000+ varieties.

Tomato Growers Supply Co. 500 varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. Fort. Myers.

Here's an unripe scorpion pepper. I planted this as a seed a few months ago.

They're always fun to grow. I like the ornamental '5 color' types that change color as they ripen.
