Hi,

My male sago palm has grown a cone in the middle for about a month now. Will the plant get rid of the cone itself in a little while or should I remove the cone myself?

My female sago palm is growing seeds. After removing the seeds, should I cut away the stuff around that held the seeds of leave it as is?

Thanks.

Sagos (Cycas) will take care of themselves.   The plants will produce a new flush of leaves once the reproductive activity finishes.

Blessedly, they are "wild" plants that haven't been messed up by plant breeders.  A prime example of a domesticated plant is corn/maize, which absolutely requires the help of people to store and plant its seeds.

I have also read where if you send me some free seeds, you will have luck with the tree in the future:-)

 Are Sagos hard to pop?

They are actually quite easy in ordinary sand.

No one cares about your current yard temperature 🙃
