Some shots of a Shaving Brush Tree (Pseudobombax ellipticum) specimen growing in a nearby parking lot near Bayshore Gardens and 41 here in Bradenton. Seen this specimen many times driving around town but wasn't sure what color variant it was. Quite a sight up close. New foliage is incredible. Enjoy!

Beautiful shots. Every tree I see around here has finished flowering by the time the new growth flushes out. Wonder what could cause the difference?

Rick,

Kind of curious myself since others I have seen had dropped all their flowers by the time they started leafing out. I thought to check on it because my four seedlings just started flushing about a week ago.
