That's awesome! I finally got irrigation ran to mine, so maybe it'll grow better now.

Hi, nice. I saw quite many in Mexico that were in full bloom. some you could not almost see the leaves from the flowers.

I wonder if such a stronger blooming is genetic or environmental (the humidity is constantly higher there). Also some flowering Delonix looked relatively small.

Nice pics guys. Usually, best blooms follow dry, mild winters, but genetics do play a part.

SoCal and SoFla; zone varies by location.

I took those in Tulum, it is a very common tree used for landscaping in town and villages. They must be often in flower as some had seedpods and flowers at the same time. Some trees had flowers and a very few leaves. It was a great view. here are some more. I love that tree whose leaves have a yellow venation. Not native, but common. Never seen it in flower.

I am growing some Delonix from seed. any experiences?

Delonix regia can grow very quickly if given a lot of water when it's very hot. At one time I had many dozens of trees, which I gave a way and sold. They would grow to about 5 to 6ft or taller within two growing seasons in pots.

Wow!

Yes, they can bloom very well in San Diego. I hope these photos encourage more people to plant this gorgeous flowering tree in Southern California.
