Yesterday a friend of mine gave me three agave plants. A friend of hers gave four of the them to her, but she has a small yard and gave the three of them to me. She didn't know the species of them and neither do I. I saw a photo of the mother plant and it was fairly big. By big I mean maybe over 6 feet high and larger in diameter. What puzzled me were very small pups that were already sending up a flower stalk.

My plants were once smaller pups that came up from the mother plant. The leaf margins have small teeth, unlike the larger teeth on Agave americana.

From what I can tell by doing a Google search is that my agaves are A. neglecta. Can anybody confirm that based on the below photo. The one below was the largest of the three, and I just planted all three of them this morning.

Also, for those that specialize in agaves, what would one like the one below cost from a nursery?
