I am going to be in Orange County Ca. this weekend for a family matter. I am curious if anyone in the area could direct me to a nursery that has C. fruticosum for sale. I would like to try it in Central Texas but have been unable to find it. I am hoping to purchase a smaller plant while in the area. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hey Clay, maybe one of these guys have it. San Marcos growers says they have it but they are only wholesale and are in Ventura county. The link is to retail centers that carry their plants. If the link doesn't work just go to smgrowers.com and look under retail centers. I moved out here from Austin about 6 yrs ago, born and raised down in South Austin, definitely miss it sometimes. I try and get back there 1-2 times a year to see the folks, dang it's grown! Keep Austin Wierd!

Thanks Doc,

I am aware of smgrowers and did check their Orange County list of retail clients. None that I could find reported having the plant. I may just drop by one or two to see if they have it and just are not listing it.

Yup, Austin has grown quite a bit in just the 15 years I have lived here. Keeps it interesting.

Regards,

Clay

Clay--

I don't know of anyone in OC who has this, but if you can make the drive up to West Hollywood, you might find it at Leon's:
