Palm and Cycad Societies of Australia

2012 Annual Show

Weekend 3/4 March

9am - 3pm

Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Auditorium

Brisbane

Features :-

Australia's largest selection of common and rare palms and cycads for sale, both plants and seeds.

Displays of native and exotic palms and cycads.

Bookstore - clearance sale of society books and magazines.

Educational displays.

Food and refreshments.

Membership.

Admission:

Adults - $3.00

Pensioners - $2.00

Children - Free

All members welcome to bring plants to sell. Set-up is is Friday afternoon March 2 between noon and 6:00 pm.

I don't think so Wal. I didnt really chat to anyone except Teresa (spelling?) from Utopia and a knowledgable guy at the bookstore (picked up 'palms of sub-equatorial qld' for the bargin price of $2!!!). I was lucky enough to grab a P. speciosa from Teresa and i think i was walking past a group of Palmtalkers as i was heading out to pay. Wasn't sure though as i dont know who's who. Had to run to get to work but will be definetly hanging around alot longer next year. Enjoyed the photos. You guys did a great job with the displays.
