Does anyone have this? The leaves are huge and the flowers are nice too. I read they loose there leaves at 40 and die at 26. I should be able to grow one. Any reason why I shouldn't ?

I doubt it will tolerate Mediterranean climates.

Grows OK in SoFla, but breaks easily in storms, blows over on shallow soil.

SoCal and SoFla; zone varies by location.

Per Barry Stock, Fairchild had one lost in Wilma or Katrina, Willis Harding Park had one that Wilma destroyed.

Don't know if Eric has/had at Leu Gardens.

I have tried them before, very fast growing but they die below 29-30F.
