Well i was wondering what it might be.... i'm really interested in Ravenala madagascariensis, but the people at the nursery had no idea....

Ravenala madagascariensis does not grow in Southern Europe, died in the cold winter

I also say Strelitzia.

Ravenala leaf blades start lower on the stem, and they're a much brighter, lighter green.

And, alas, they're also a lot more tender, though I bet you could get one to survive a while in Southern Europe, especially in the south-facing shelter of a large building.

Strelitzias are much more reliable, though.
