does anyone have some of the 14" tall x 4x4 tree pots they'd be willing to sell me? I need at least 5 asap but will take up to thirty, if not more. I have some bands to upsize very soon and it seems to be a bit of a pain to get these pots. I've tried searching on the web but most leads turn into dead ends.

SO! If you've got some of these and are willing to sell them please get a hold of me. I live in California.

thank you so so very much!

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

These guys aren't cheap, but they're great, anyway.

Ship worldwide.

Also, some farm supply places carry tree pots.

Be warned, they're a bit expensive, but if that's what you want . . . .

What kind of palms are yours? You might do just as well with regular, easy to obtain pots.

Patrick: I agree with Dave. Stuewe Corp. either makes the pots themselves, or has them custom made with their name on them. As I recall they are in the Pacific Northwest? They aren't cheap, as he said, and I don't think they sell them in very small quantities. However, buy a pallet today; be the Master of Tall Pots tomorrow.

I will say from my experience that getting small palms out of the 14" pots without root damage is not always easy. Sometimes when I turn the pot over much of the potting mix falls out, and it seems like no matter how carefully I remove the palms before their roots grow through the bottom, nonetheless their roots grow through the bottom and I have an upside down empty pot in one hand, potting mix having fallen on the work table, and I am holding on to a young palm with the same hand, while with the other hand trying to disentangle the roots from the pot without breaking the roots...which would pretty much make having grown them in the tall pots a waste of time. Fortunately, just when I think I will drop the palm/pot or both, everything works out. Gives me my stress workout for the day. Does anybody else have problems getting palms out, or am I just the Inept DePotter?

Yep, Stuewe and Sons are located in Corvallis, Oregon. I drove down there about 8 years ago and bought a truckload of one gallon "tallones" and boxes and boxes of conetainers which are great for small seedlings. I've used them for many years they take up way less room than a standard round one gallon, and you can slam 9 into one of those dairy boxes perfectly.
