hi i am ric . i am a sculptor and a gardener. i am looking for vegetable ivory of any specie. fresh to grow would be great but old for carving would be fine as well.i would greatly appreciate any information such as germinating and growing tips, books to reference. sources for seed, and varieties that i havent heard of other than these-phytelephas, metroxylon, hyphaene.even large hard seeds that are not like ivory but still could be carved. i need to know what i should expect to pay for them too. i bought some over 10 years ago from constantines wood supply.i am soaking one of them .they couldnt possibly be viable still could they after all these years . i am in zone 5 so i dont expect to grow a crop but i would like to try to grow one as an indoor/outdoor specimen in a large pot for fun thanks from a newbie ric
