Hi Ya'll,

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Guihaia argyrata and grossifibrosa? As slow as these palms grow, the bigger the better! I bought a couple small ones a few years ago and......they've barely grown any at all! Any help locating some larger ones would be greatly appreciated. BTW. just for the record, mine have withstood lows in the high teens a couple of times. Last winter (the worst we've seen in a while) they got no protection, other than tree canopy, and they came though unscathed. Tom

Tom,

Sorry I don't know of anyone selling larger ones. If you want to sprout seeds, I think RPS may still have some. Did you see the thread I posted on about germinating them? Good results so far.

But you're right, those 5 years where they don't grow at all are a real bear!

Good luck!

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.
