Boy, a little rain goes a long way...the bananas are producing like crazy!

Musa ornata. This one is not edible but decorative and not a large plant so it's definitely worth having. I love using those bananas in flower arrangements.

A Saba with its first attempt...I think they're a bit scrawny and will not mature well. Bordelon (another ornamental) underneath it.

This banana patch was here when I moved in so I don't know what they are, but it's producing like crazy right now, 5 different stalks going at the same time!

Gina, when i first bought my place here on the island it was bare, not a plant on it, so i planted 'naners' up to abt 28 different types...well, now all i have left are Saba, Ornata bronze, Bordelon and Raja puri, and those four grow like crazy...

Yours look great!

Those have certainly been the reliable ones for me and I love the fairly instant gratification. I'm growing a number of other naners but they're not producing at the moment. I remember your place, Rusty, and it was absolutely amazing...and hot!

Well, now Jackass Flatts is a comfy 93 degrees at mid day, but that is before the sea breeze kicks in...a bit nippy at 89-90, but i'll have to suffer with the chill!!!!!!!

hope you have a chance to visit the island again in the future
