To use one of Wal's expressions, Cyphosperma balansae is as rare as hen's teeth here. Is anyone out west willing to ship a 3-5G plant to Florida? Seedlings and 1G plants dampen off too easily and die a slow, horrible death so maybe larger plants are more resilient.

Thanks in advance,

Ray

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Ray,

I have two good size ones in pots. A 10gal and 7gal. Big $$$$$$$$$ too! But I'll pass along some good advice. Save your money for something else to grow, that is if you want to grow it in the ground. I haven't seen or heard of anyone having any success with one in the ground, including me. This is a palm for the Cali boys.
