Starting to place container palms. Still eliminating waterfall leaks in the rocks....tedious!!!!! :rage: Gone through like 9 cans of waterproof foam already.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Here is the mostly finished landscaped berm behind the pond.

The palm all the way to the right is my new Cyphophoenix elegans. The only thing left to do is dig my conduit line to behind the skimmer , where that patch of sand is. Right now I am running it off aextension cord :unsure:

It is MUCH smaller than it looks. For scale check out one of my cats to the left. Palms from left to right: Chameyronia macrocarpa, 3 Dypsis baronii's, Caryota mitis, Dypsis mayotee(sp.??), 4 Dypsis laceolatas(3 are suckering of a single)

Yes indeed. We put the cart before the horse and put the grass in before the final hardscaping and landscaping. Lesson learned.

I ordered the micro-palm kit from thepondguy.com and it's max size I could go with the given liner was 8' X 11"' by 2' depth. I went way shorter so my pond is like 6.5' X 3' very small for my limited backyard. But it works!
