Years ago, I bought a collection of 5 variegated Bougainvillea from Stokes Tropicals. I put them all in a very large pot, together. Over the years, close to 7, I have abused them in everyway possible. Last year, tiring of them I just left them out, totally in the open all winter. We had too many nights in the upper 20s to count and 3 that were right at the 20 degree mark. To my amazement, two of these things are now coming back. The picture enclosed is the largest, which seems to be rebounding with quite a bit of vigor. I am again enthused about the possibility of Bougainvillea in the ground here, long term.

Does anyone know anything the Variegated Bougainvillea?

Stokes has long since quit carrying them, but I know the owner and plan to stop by to see what he remembers about their source.

I have a variegated bougie that has white "flowers". Though it is buried behind some construction completed last year. They are quite common here. Try Kartuz. They mail order.

I have a variegated pink/white bougainvillea, and I haven't noticed any difference in hardiness between it and any of my other bougainvilleas.
