The South Florida Palm Society meets this coming Monday, April 5, 7:30 pm at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden.

Rick Johnson, Roadway Operations Manager for Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) will give a presentation and slideshow titled "Pavement to Palms; How the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority is Growing Gardens, Community Image and Quality of Life" about the palms and other plants being used in plantings on local expressways. The talk will be followed by an auction of palms. Get there early and ask questions about your palms at the answer desk.
