Definitely!

Looks like a good deal, too, for a plant that size.

I hear they move easily . . . .

Anyone know?

I've seen pictures of them on the internet as just logs, no leaves, no roots, ready for shipment.

Could be a CIDP or some hybrid. Hard to tell from pic. But it could be a M. johnsonii too.

Did you know that in Australia Macrozamia johnsoni's and Phoenix canariensis are the same exact plant just spelled differently? I never knew that either cause I just made it up.

I think Len just channeled MattyB...

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

It's definitely a Macrozamia moorei, one which came in from Australia abt 5-6 years ago before the harvesting of them from the bush was banned by the Qld and Aust. Government.

He is asking about twice what we would sell the same plant for boxed and ready to go.

Bruce, you have plants that big for $250? Your price must have come down. I need this plant and a Moorei. Got a deal for me?

Len,

He's asking $1,499.00 the way I read it.

Come over and see what we have as we need to sell up and get to Oz.

Classic. The guy changed his entire ad. Someone must have corrected him as he said it was a CIDP. It was $420.

Sorta makes you wonder if he is legit.................suddenly remembers what the plant is and how much he paid for it.

And I wonder if the property owner will get a shock when he comes home from work and finds his plant on his long driveway missing.

Not as outlandish as you might think. A year or so ago thieves dug up and absconded with some large, rare cycads from an estate in Naples, FL. I'm not sure if the owner ever got his plants back. Also, there was a group of thieves stealing large bronze statues from Naples estates. Big problems for rich folk who only visit their vacation homes a few times a year.

No Worries....sounds like the guy will let you know when "he is home" so you can come dig it out of "his yard" :winkie: just be sure to bring cash and a truck for hauling it. He will meet you there at "his house" to show you exactly where to dig.....but he might not be able to stay and help, because he has to get back to work (there is another exotic plant that needs to be removed at his "vacation home" further down the coast.
