The next meeting of Louisiana Palm and Cycad Society will be on Sunday, March 14 at the home of Craig and Kathryn Morgan in Destrehan.

The business meeting will begin at 11:00 am and will include election of officers for the 2010-12 term.

Lunch will be served around noon. A main course of Shrimp Creole with rice will be provided. Members are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert if they would like.

A garden tour with a discussion about cold hardy palms for the Louisiana climate will follow lunch. The meeting will conclude with an auction of palms and hopefully a few cycads. Members are encouraged to donate plants for the auction.

Thanks George! I was beginning to wonder if anyone cared. :(

The website still needs some work. I don't know anything about building a website but I'm interested in learning. I just used a template and can't figure out how to make it wider yet. Maybe this weekend I'll have some time to get on line with their tech support and make some changes.
