Chamadorea Elegans with at least 1 FOOT of CLEAR TRUNK

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain an Chamaedorea Elegans with at least 1 foot of clear trunk? I have been looking for one for a few years now and have not found one. I am looking for a singular palm, but if there is a grouping in a pot, I would be open to / willing to buy that as well. They can be easily separated. I have several of these, as they are one of my favorite palms and favorite Chamaedorea, but the largest one is only about 24" to leaf tip with about 3-4" of clear trunk. The oldest one I have is the largest, and it is about 4 or 5 years old.

Thanks for any help!

Here are a few pics of something along the lines I am looking for.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop a quick note in here to say that I am happy to report that I have found a place to get the palms I wanted! While they do not have exactly 1 foot of clear trunk, they are very close, and are beautiful palms! I received my two new palms earlier today and have potted them up and they look fantastic! Thanks so much for taking a look here.

Best and happy growing!

Shoot DCA! I chopped down a big clump of these in my yard about 2 months ago. But, they didnt have 1 ft of trunk....more like 5 or 6! I also removed dozens of C. microspadix of the same size that had overgrown their locations. These palms will self seed easily and really fill up an area.

Oh man! I would have LOVED to have had one of those! Ahh well, they would be REALLY TALL for my place being that I have 9 foot ceilings. Still would have been doable tho. Darn! oh well.
